March 27, 2026: Friday Night Mini-Shabbat Kickoff
Kick off the series on Friday, March 27, 2026, with Fun Friday Evening (Péntekecske péntek este). Zsilip throws a mini-Shabbat welcome in the Zsiliputi Playhouse. While adults soak up Rabbi Glitzi’s teachings in the synagogue, kids get playful sessions from a madricha on the weekly Torah portion, Shabbat, and current holidays—all with pictures and games galore. Gifts await, plus a tombola raffle! Bring the whole family to learn together on Shabbat eve.
Sunday, March 29: Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School Relaunch
Sundays shine with the revived Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School (Zsiliputi Zsidó Vasárnapi Iskola). Hundreds of kids who spent Sunday mornings here still rave about the games and sneaky learning. Newly revived in the Zsilip Center, a young, enthusiastic team welcomes 4- to 14-year-olds and teens from 10:00 to 12:30. Age-group sessions cover prepping for holidays, mitzvot lessons, tradition intros, and lifelong values. Whether you’re tiny, tweening toward youth group, or pre-Bar/Bat Mitzvah, this is crafted for you!
April Lineup: More Fridays and Sundays
The fun rolls on. Catch another Fun Friday Evening (Péntekecske péntek este) on Friday, April 3, then Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School on April 5. Repeat with Friday, April 10, and Sunday, April 12—same mini-Shabbat setup: kids with madricha playtime on the parsha, Shabbat, holidays, gifts, and tombola; adults with Rabbi Glitzi. Sundays keep the school vibe: holiday prep, mitzvot, traditions, and values for all ages 4-14 plus teens, 10:00-12:30.
