February 1 brings a new, free cinephile hangout to Dugattyús: Front Row (Első sorban), a biweekly film club where plugged‑in guests with personal ties to the screenings dig into bold, debate‑stirring movies. Seats are first come, first served, and the vibe is meant to be loose, curious, and a little confrontational—in the best way.
Opening With a Cult Classic
They’re starting strong with Vincent Gallo’s Buffalo ’66, a cult landmark steeped in his singular, jagged world. After the screening, host Luca Bonta (Bonta Luca) sits down with critic Feri Varga (Varga Feri), editor‑in‑chief of Recorder, to unpack the film’s place in cinema, its ripple effects, and whether its messy magic still works—or why it doesn’t—right now.
How It Works
The club runs every two weeks on Sundays, kicking off Sunday, February 1, 2026. Admission is free, no reservations—just show up and grab a chair. Expect frank talk, passionate takes, and movies that split the room without apology. (Cover photo: Gábor Szabó (Szabó Gábor) – We Love Budapest)
