The legendary Catfish Paprikash Cooking Festival returns to the banks of the Tisza River (Tisza) in Tiszacsege (Tiszacsege) for its thirteenth year on September 6, 2025. Over 100 teams will go head-to-head to claim the “Best Catfish Paprikash” crown, blending fierce cooking rivalry with unbeatable fun by the water.
Action-Packed Festival Lineup
The festival isn’t just about mouthwatering fish. Expect lively family and children’s activities, folk art groups, and a bustling craft market that will keep all ages entertained. During the cooking showdown, bands like Agyagbanda (Agyagbanda), Számadó Band (Számadó Zenekar), and D-Vitamin (D-Vitamin) will keep the party vibes going all day long.
Evening Extravaganza
When the cooking wraps up, Zeneexpress (Zeneexpressz) takes the stage with an explosive show, followed by the country’s hottest performers. Hosted by Ádám Fásy (Ádám Fásy), icons including Tamás Hevesi (Tamás Hevesi), Tibor Kocsis (Tibor Kocsis), Márió (Márió), and Mary Nótár (Nótár Mary) will keep the celebration going until late.

Both entry and parking are free. Teams registering by August 31 will receive 4.4 pounds of filleted catfish, and the first 80 teams will also get tents, tables, and benches. Ready to cook up a storm? See you by the river!
