Whether you’re into museums, children’s shows, or hopping from one concert hall to another, Sopron bubbles with vibrant cultural life.

Major Concerts and Musical Highlights

The concert calendar is positively brimming with variety. On October 22, Endre Hegedűs will captivate audiences at Liszt’s birthday concert, with tickets starting at just $11. Later that week, rock out with Tornóczky All Access and Wasabi Case at Búgócsiga, or dive into the synth sounds and beats of Analog Balaton at the Hangár Music Garden on Halloween.

On November 1, classical fans can enjoy a Haydn and Beethoven concert ($13), and just a day later, young piano prodigy Misi Boros headlines his tour stop at Liszt 2, with tickets from $14.50. Big ensembles aren’t left out either: on November 6, the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra brings the evocative “Scottish Symphony” to the Liszt Cultural Center (Liszt Kulturális Központ) ($19.50).

Expect plenty of genre fusion and experimentation—Fool Moon a cappella and Talamba Percussion join forces for a unique joint performance ($21), and on November 12, the Triovirate Guitar Trio will tackle works by Diabelli, Milhaud, and Mussorgsky. The beloved vocal ensemble Cotton Club Singers performs on November 23, followed by another Misi Boros tour date the next day.

December is all about festive vibes. Adrienn Szekeres’s Advent Concert at the Liszt Center ($24–$32) leads up to one of winter’s biggest gigs: NOX brings their “Silent” (“Csendes”) concert to Sopron, with tickets starting at $32 and rising to $45 for the best seats.

Kicking off 2026, you’ll catch double doses of Bach and Moldovan folk with the Győr Philharmonic ($16.50), then dive into a cinematic treat on January 28 as Williams’ score for “Home Alone” (“Reszkessetek betörők”) comes alive in the CRESCENDO series.

The festive energy continues through spring, with the Filharmónia Scarbantia Season Pass (“bérlet”) “Spring Sounds” concert ($21), a special Earth Day harp and marimba spectacle, and bold reinterpretations from the Sonoro Saxophone Quartet. Vivaldi gets a percussive twist with Talamba in April ($21), and the much-loved Liszt Chamber Orchestra appears in June ($21).

All told, nearly 50 musical events pack Sopron’s calendar, ensuring the city’s stages will never be quiet for long.
