On August 20, 2025, the parking lot below Csókakő Castle (Csókakő vára) will transform into a lively producer and craft fair. This bustling market brings together local and regional products, giving artisans, farmers, and antique collectors the chance to showcase fresh produce and handcrafted treasures to eager shoppers. From crisp fruits and vegetables to unique crafts, everyone will find something to catch their eye and delight their taste buds.
Changing Themes, Unique Experiences
The 2025 Castle Fairs are each built around special themes, making every event a new adventure. Mark your calendars: August 20 is the Bread Blessing (Kenyérszentelő) Fair, September 21 is the Autumn Welcome Fair, and October 12 is the Winter Arrival Fair. Every market day runs from 9 am to 5 pm, promising new vendors and themed surprises each time.
Stay, Sip, and Savor
If you need a break from shopping, a charming guesthouse with a four-bed room awaits you in peaceful Csókakő. Behind it, a wine cellar at the edge of the woods offers tastings for up to 50 people, complete with traditional snacks like open-faced sandwiches, smoked meats, and homemade pastries.
Wine Heritage Lives On
Founded in 2002, the Wine Order of St. Donatus (Szent Donát Borrend) keeps Csókakő’s legendary wine traditions alive, preserving the region’s historical and cultural values through passion and community events.
