The Kanizsa Cultural Center in Nagykanizsa is gearing up for a packed 2025/2026 season, drawing visitors with festivals, concerts, exhibitions, stage and dance performances, plus tons of kids’ activities. Across its three venues—Hevesi Sándor Community Center, Móricz Zsigmond House, and Medgyaszay House—you’ll find something wild and wonderful, whether you’re a jazz fan or in the mood for Halloween crafts.
Shows, Concerts, and Unique Events
October brings the love-themed improv game Szeret, vagy nem szeret? (Loves Me, Loves Me Not?) and VILÁGOT ÍROK! (I’m Writing the World!) starring rising talents. There’s a photographic journey through Italy, a commemorative show for the 1956 Revolution, the quirky tragicomedy TITKOSSZOLGÁK (Secret Agents), and Hatán Pizsamában (Six in Pajamas) for laughs. Kid-friendly Halloween workshops will keep the little ones engaged, while curious minds can catch travel tales from Sulawesi and Easter Island.
November is all about music and reflection, with JazzKanizsa, memorial concerts for legends Zsuzsa Cserháti and Péter Máté, and a special joint show with actress Judit Schell and opera singer László Boldizsár. There’s a solo evening with Zoltán Kőhalmi, illusion performances, literary events, and a gospel concert. Even 2026 gets festive with operetta tunes and costume balls. Nagykanizsa has never been this fun.
