Cegléd is packing the calendar with talks, theater, exhibitions, crafts, concerts, and comedy from late November through spring. Most events center on the Kossuth Cultural Center, with free gems tucked between ticketed hits.

Late November Warm-Up

Start with Harmónia Klub’s “Exploring My Conscious and Subconscious, Part 2,” led by Csilla Nagyné Hőgye, on November 25 at the Casino in Cegléd — free and introspective. On November 27, Bástya Színház brings Good Luck to You, Leo Grande to the Kossuth Cultural Center, tickets $26.16. November 28 opens “Crafted Christmas,” the Danube Bend Folk Art Association (Dunakanyar) exhibition at Cegléd Gallery, launched at 5 p.m. by Ágnes Détári-Lukács, managing director of the Kossuth Cultural Center — free cultural polish.

Markets, Music, Quilts

November 29 is stacked: a Christmas-prep flea market for toys, baby clothes, books, and kids’ gear — buy or sell. Vocalist Koszika teams up with the Péter Sárik Trio at Kossuth for $15.29. At 3 p.m., “Quilters’ Christmas” opens, showcasing seasonal patchwork by the Folton-Folt Club, with remarks by Ágnes Kónya, chair of the Human Committee, and music by the Nyársapát Folksong Circle. Earlier, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., craft your own Advent wreath in the Kossuth Handicraft Workshop.
