Every Wednesday and Friday, you can grab gluten-free and dairy-free kürtőskalács (chimney cake) fresh from the oven at Édes Mackó, Budapest’s iconic kürtőskalács bakery. On these days, you don’t need to place an order ahead—just walk in and enjoy. If you want these special versions on other weekdays, you’ll need to order at least four one day in advance. If you have other dietary requirements, the bakery does its best to accommodate custom requests.

Édes Mackó is Hungary’s first kürtőskalács dessert bakery, serving cloud-like creations inspired by the traditional chimney cake grilled over charcoal.
