Debrecen’s Great Forest (Nagyerdő) will burst with tastes, aromas, and live beats as the Debrecen Gourmet Festival marks its 10th edition from June 12–14, 2026, around Beaver Lake (Békás-tó). This year goes bigger than ever, inviting everyone on a culinary journey across continents, cultures, and traditions. Tickets range from $10 to $82. Theme: Flavors of the World
The 2026 spotlight is Flavors of the World: authentic dishes from international kitchens, rare ingredients, and captivating food stories. With 2026 named the International Year of Shepherds, ancestral knowledge and herding traditions that have shaped global food and gastronomy step into the limelight. Expect shepherd-inspired tastes in both modern and classic forms, from puszta cauldrons to refined reinterpretations.
Food Meets Live Music
A stacked live program sets the mood: on June 12, Vasovszki Live takes the stage; June 13 brings Petra Gubik, plus Josh and Betti; and on June 14 Fruzsina Kovácsovics launches a family-friendly Sunday. The festival aims not just to spoil food lovers but to draw the whole city into a shared culinary celebration with cultural and family programming.
Star Chefs, Big Names
The Michelin-starred Borkonyha Restaurant is on the bill, alongside standout chefs including Eszter Palágyi, Ákos Sárközi, and Roy from the Netherlands. The creative container kitchen will push flavor rethinks, and a massive LED wall on the container will stream World Cup matches in prime time.
Family-First Sunday
This year gets even more family-friendly: a Kids’ Corner, children’s concerts, playful workshops, a cozy reading grove with BOOOK Publishing, and a “French” market stacked with treats. Sunday zeroes in on families, with hands-on cooking for little ones, pizza play, sip-and-stir lemonade labs, and a screening of Lecsó (Ratatouille).
