Every September, Debrecen’s Great Forest (Nagyerdő) bursts with flavor and fun at the Debrecen Zamat Festival. From September 12 to 14, 2025, the city’s top restaurants, Hungary’s biggest pálinka (fruit brandy) houses, and famous culinary stars gather near the Great Forest Stadium (Nagyerdei Stadion) to showcase the very best in food and drink.

Taste homemade pálinka (fruit brandy), fine wines, and craft beers, along with traditional Hungarian specialties from renowned local restaurants. Culinary stars like Zsófia Mautner, Jenő Rácz, Szabi the Baker, and András Wolf whip up excitement for food lovers of all ages.
Live Music, Activities, and Local Vibes
The party rocks with live concerts by Edda, Honeybeast, Fiesta, Happy Gang, Animal Cannibals, and Betty Love. Test your skills at the “Do You Get It?!” (“VÁGOD?!”) Debrecen sausage-stuffing contest, or explore artisan markets, interactive booths, and family games—with laughter and good times rolling all weekend long.
