March 12–29, 2026, DiningCity stages the 29th National Restaurant Week, an 18-day tasting tour with 236 participating venues offering special three-course menus from 6,900 HUF, service included. Reservations are open now, and the price levels are unchanged from last year: top category from 6,900 HUF, premium from 8,900 HUF, and exclusive from 10,900 HUF, all inclusive of service.
Eating well can be pricey—except during Restaurant Week. For 18 days, many of Hungary’s best kitchens present multi-course menus at fixed prices, bringing high-end dining within easy reach. A handful of restaurants will go broader still, adding extra choices for a small surcharge so guests can explore even more of the kitchen’s range.
The 236-strong lineup includes numerous places featured in the Top 100 of Hungarian gastronomic guides, and 16 of them hold international Michelin recommendations. Standards aren’t slipping: menus showcase first-rate produce and fresh ideas, all while holding steady at last year’s prices.
Expect carefully sourced ingredients and headline dishes: truffle, rooster, pheasant, guinea fowl, duck, goose, and mangalica pork in varied preparations; Hungarian and Argentine beef steaks; venison Wellington; grilled scallops; lobster; and freshwater sturgeon. Foie gras appears in multiple guises, while sushi specials, pho and ramen, and true Neapolitan pizzas broaden the field. Special diets won’t be left out: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options appear widely. Alongside Hungarian, Italian, and French classics, taste Lebanese, Indian, Japanese, Georgian, Mexican, and Moroccan flavors too.
Restaurants keep up the tradition of carefully crafted menus for guests with dietary needs, and the international mix is wider than ever—think Lebanese and Indian through to Georgian, Mexican, and Moroccan—right alongside beloved Hungarian kitchens.
Several Michelin-recommended and Bib Gourmand restaurants join with uniquely priced tasting menus of three to five courses, offered in ways you won’t see any other time. Look for the red-and-white Michelin figure icon on the restaurant list to spot them. Among the names: My Kitchen Studio 365 (A Konyhám Stúdió 365, Fonyód), Bilanx, Costes Downtown, Cut & Barrel, Felix Kitchen & Bar, Góré Restaurant (Góré étterem, Kisharsány), Iszkor Restaurant (Iszkor étterem, Mályinka), Little Cricket Restaurant – Food & Room**** (Kistücsök Étterem – Food & Room****, Balatonszemes), MÁK restaurant, Moszkvatér Bistro (Moszkvatér Bisztró), Natura Hill (Zebegény), Spago Budapest by Wolfgang Puck, Szaletly Inn & Garden (Szaletly Vendéglő és Kert), Textúra Restaurant (Textúra étterem), and UMO Restaurant.
For the first time, Time Out Market Budapest—at Blaha Lujza Square inside the Corvin Palace—joins Restaurant Week with special, accessible dishes designed to showcase quality gastronomy for all. The Market features new concepts from chefs behind Michelin-starred venues, including Jenő Rácz and Tiago Sabarigo, key figures in Hungary’s dining scene. The timing lines up with the Corvin Palace’s 100th anniversary, adding an extra reason to drop by. Throughout the DiningCity period, the Market welcomes visitors daily from 11:30 to 23:30 to explore top restaurants, drinks, and cultural programs under one roof.
With a decade-plus track record, Restaurant Week is a golden ticket to try exclusive venues at wallet-friendly, fixed prices. Each restaurant’s planned menu is visible at booking on the event website, so you can choose by style—Hungarian, French, Moroccan, American, Italian, Mexican, Asian, or fusion—then tailor to your preferences. Meat lovers, vegans, and guests with allergies will all find dishes to love.
