Kerekítő Manó Takes Over
The Kerekítő manó világa (World of the Rounder Elf) traveling exhibition launches its Dunaharaszti stop with an opening on April 16. It hit the road in March 2024 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the baby-and-mother activity network and book series. Kerekítő has grown into teacher training and a treasure trove of experiential pedagogy tools that kindergartens and nurseries love to use. The elf isn’t just a family favorite anymore – it appears as a group puppet in preschool life everywhere. Beyond book illustrations, expect slide shows, puzzles, and game ideas for families or groups at host libraries. It runs April 17, then April 21-24, and again April 28 to May 29. April 24 spotlights Ikonikus ruhadarabok a divattörténetben – Az őskortól a couture-ig (Iconic Garments in Fashion History – From Prehistory to Couture). What makes a clothing piece legendary? Why do styles loop back across centuries? This talk traces outfits from prehistoric times to today, hitting major civilizations to modern runway couture. It digs into era-defining clothes and silhouettes, showing how they echo in contemporary fashion and catwalks. Harmonica Links to Denmark
April 28 builds bridges with Épitsünk kapcsolatot a harmonika hangján (Building Connections on the Harmonica’s Sound). The music school teams up for a rare classical harmonica concert with the Danish National Academy of Music. Star is Gergely Szokolai, a master’s student in accordion, joined by cellist Ksymena Slusarczyk, also at master’s level. Serious classical harmonica music is scarce in Hungary – this whisks you to new worlds beyond the usual. Uplifting and fresh, it’s open to all and free.
