Every Tuesday and Friday evening, grab your sneakers and join the Downtown Wanderer (Belvárosi barangoló) city walking tour in the heart of Gyula. Led by professional guide Gábor Bánkuti, this 120-minute stroll, offered throughout the summer and autumn, highlights the city’s famous buildings and stories—with all sightseeing from the outside only.

Tour Highlights & Booking

The tour begins at 5:00 PM sharp at the Tourinform office and follows a route along City Hall Street, Harruckern Square, the World Clock, Kossuth Square, Máriás House, Erkel Ferenc Memorial House, Kohán Gallery, Ladics House, the 100-Year-Old Confectionery, City Hall, St. Nicholas Church, the 1848/49 Army Officers Memorial, the Castle, the Spa, and Almásy Castle. Perfect for groups of 2 to 15 people.

Reserve your spot by 5:00 PM the previous day, either at the Tourinform office or online. Tickets are $8 per person, and Visit Gyula Card holders receive a free local guidebook. Organizers reserve the right to adjust dates and program details—so stay tuned!
