Budapest’s Zsilip Center (1137, Újpesti rakpart 1) is opening its two-story playhouse and learning rooms for playful, hands-on Jewish learning and community time.
Friday Night: Péntekecske
On Friday, 2025.11.28, kids get a playhouse-style Shabbat welcome while adults catch Rabbi Glitzi’s teaching in the synagogue. In the Zsiliputi playhouse, a madricha leads lively activities on the weekly Torah portion, Shabbat, and the current holiday, with pictures, games, and prizes for good listeners—plus a raffle. Bring the whole family and learn together on Shabbat evening in Budapest.
Sunday: Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School
On 2025.11.30, the beloved Sunday kids’ program returns, refreshed as Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School (Zsiliputi Zsidó Vasárnapi Iskola), back at the Zsilip Center with its two floors of play spaces and multiple study rooms. From 10:00 to 12:30, a young, enthusiastic team welcomes every child and teen ages 4–14 for age-group sessions where they prepare for upcoming holidays, learn about mitzvot, explore traditions, and absorb values that carry through life. Whether tiny, tween, teen-in-training, or pre–Bar/Bat Mitzvah, this Sunday School is designed for you. Budapest.
