Every Saturday morning, families are invited to the Liliomkert Market (Liliomkert piac) in Káptalantóti for a day filled with kids’ activities, breakfast, lunch, sizzling delicacies, and tempting drinks just four miles from Lake Balaton (Balaton). It’s the perfect weekend spot to savor fresh food, sip coffee, beer, or a spritzer, and unwind in a laid-back, friendly setting surrounded by rolling hills.
Charming Retreats and Culinary Delights
On the edge of Káptalantóti, nestled among four hills, three guesthouse apartments are available, each with its own kitchen and bathroom. Whether you’re grilling at sunset or sampling local wine, the evenings here are truly special. For culinary enthusiasts, there’s even a summer kitchen called Kiwi House (Kivi-ház), serving snacks made from handpicked veggies straight from the kitchen garden.
200 Years of Wine Tradition
The family behind it all has been perfecting their craft of grape growing and winemaking for over two centuries. Their vineyards stretch across the volcanic slopes of Badacsony, Gulács, Csobánc, and Tóti Hill (Tóti-hegy). On seven hectares at Sabar Hill (Sabar-hegy), they create elegant, international-style, fresh, and lively wines—mostly premium whites, but also rosy reds and rosés aged in top-quality barrels.
