Péntekecske Friday night is back at Zsilip with a double program: a playful Shabbat welcome for kids with a madricha, and teachings for adults with Rabbi Glitzi in the synagogue. While grown‑ups dive into Rabbi Glitzi’s insights, children enjoy an interactive session about the weekly Torah portion, Shabbat, and current holidays, complete with pictures, games, and a raffle. Good listeners get prizes. Bring the whole family and learn together on Shabbos in Budapest.
Zsiliputi Jewish Sunday School
On November 23, the beloved Sunday scene returns as Zsiliputi (Zsidó Vasárnapi Iskola) reopens in the Zsilip Center, now refreshed and ready for a new generation. Hundreds of kids have spent unforgettable Sunday mornings here, and the new format keeps that spirit alive. The two-level playhouse and multiple study rooms set the stage for a lively, hands‑on Jewish education from 10:00 to 12:30.
Who It’s For
All children ages 4–14 (yes, teens too) are welcome. Grouped by age, they’ll prepare for holidays together, learn about mitzvot, explore traditions, and absorb the values that stick for life—whether you’re tiny, a tween, a teen-in-training, or gearing up for a Bar/Bat Mitzvah. This is built for you.
Another Friday Night Round
Mark November 28 for the next Péntekecske: the same split program, more games, more prizes, and another raffle. Budapest families, see you there.
