The historic Károlyi Castle in Fehérvárcsurgó is rolling out a packed schedule for 2025, offering festivals, events, exhibitions, and musical programs across multiple dates and locations. Visitors can expect themed days, vibrant art fairs, and showcases throughout this 1844 neoclassical estate, which now features 20 guest rooms, a library, a chapel, conference halls, and a restaurant. The castle’s spaces accommodate everything from small meetings to grand weddings, art shows, seminars, and family celebrations, all delivered with attentive and personalized hospitality.
Highlights of the Event Calendar
On October 17-18, the 8th International Monument Protection Conference takes place. October 19 brings a botanical stroll through the castle park with landscape architect Orsolya Györök. October 25 features a candlelit dinner and a guided castle tour. November 8 is busy: “Where They Had Coffee: Writers and Their Cafés” and a library adventure called “Up the Secret Staircase!” run simultaneously.
From November 14-16, fresh creations from Hungary’s applied arts scene fill the hallways during the country’s major crafts showcase and fair. A candlelit concert on St. Elizabeth’s Day follows on November 15. More botanical walks with Orsolya Györök take place on November 16 and December 21.
Aristocratic Comfort and Gourmet Cuisine
The 123-acre castle park ensures tranquility and grandeur. Guest rooms in both wings are named after either notable family members or the gems of the Bakony region. The kitchen combines Hungarian and French specialties with both buffet and à la carte service.
