Rókusfalvy Etyek (Etyek) is bringing back one of the village’s favorite traditions: the St. Martin’s Day (Márton-nap) Goose Fest on November 8. Rooted in local customs, the day opens a window into authentic country life, where flavors, aromas, and wines set the pace from morning to dusk. It’s free to attend, so expect a lively crowd ready to celebrate the season with rustic charm and plenty of good cheer.
Goose Race Through the Vines
The undeniable highlight is the goose race, where children and adults line the vineyard rows to cheer on sprinting geese and their handlers as they dash between the vines. It’s a chaotic, hilarious, and oddly graceful spectacle that turns the hillside into a natural arena, blending playful competition with folk tradition in the best possible way.
Music, Mood, and Village Vibes
A live Romani band takes over in the afternoon, dialing up the atmosphere with swinging rhythms and dance-friendly tunes. The result: a full day of smiles, clinking glasses, and countryside magic—all without an entry fee.
