This autumn, art and wine lovers in Eger (Eger) are in for something truly unique—painting with wine under the shade of a poplar tree in the stunning Sík Hill (Síkhegy) vineyard, surrounded by one of the most breathtaking views in wine country. The event takes place on September 20, 2025, from 12 PM to 2 PM at 40 Kistályai Road (Kistályai út 40), right in the heart of harvest season.
Bacchus Meets Brush
Leading the experience is artist and designer Panni Czikkely (Czikkely Panni)—also known as czikkcakk—a mastermind behind several creative brands. Known for blending people, emotions, and nature in her illustrations and designs, Panni brings a playful spirit, a love of coffee, and a passion for plants to the workshop. Participants will dive into a quirky, rarely explored world: using wine itself as paint, splashing and brushing color onto paper, all while drawing inspiration from the patchwork of autumn vineyards.
Wine Tasting—With a Twist
Winemaker Kati Tóth (Tóth Kati) will showcase three to four of her favorite Tóth Ferenc wines, providing tasting notes and pairing carefully selected snacks to elevate the creative mood. The $38 entry fee covers everything: the workshop, all painting materials, your self-made masterpieces, the guided wine tasting, delicious snacks, and sparkling water to keep you refreshed.
Seamless Experience
A transfer bus leaves at 11:30 AM from Hatvan Gate Square (Hatvanikapu tér), across from the Géza Gárdonyi Theater (Gárdonyi Géza Színház)—just look for the Tóthék Transfer (Tóthék Transzfer) sign. Plus, your ticket grants you access to the post-workshop harvest picnic. Tickets are available online; organizers reserve the right to modify the program or schedule.
