The 26th Little Félegyháza (Kiskunfélegyháza) Goose Festival returns September 12-13, 2025, spotlighting one of the Kiskun region’s most unique culinary traditions. Goose farming here dates back hundreds of years and has shaped the area’s rich food culture. For two days, the town comes alive with activities, flavors, and music dedicated to all things goose.
Traditional Feasts & Fierce Contests
Stroll through the bustling Craftsmen’s Street, where artisans display and sell homemade food and handcrafted goods. Don’t miss the Kunság (Kunsági) Folk Dance Gathering or the spirited cooking competition, “Who Can Bake and Cook Best from Goose.” Runners can sign up for the quirky Matyi the Goose-boy (Ludas Matyi) Race, inspired by the beloved Hungarian folk tale.
Entertainment for All Ages
Families can head to the Mór Garden (Móra Courtyard), a magical fairy-tale playground for kids. Culture lovers can enjoy performances by the Ballad Wind (Széljáró Balladás) group and the Prima Audience Award-winning Little Félegyháza Dance Theater (Félegyházi Dance Theater), presenting a dance play based on Matyi the Goose-boy (Ludas Matyi). As night falls, the music heats up with shows from Cimbaliband, Ágnes Herczku, and the energetic Bohemian Betyars.
