June 16–20, the Babel World Jazz Festival takes over Babel Garden (Babel Kert), stitching together contemporary jazz, soul, groove, bossa nova, and freewheeling improv across five nights. The lineup pulls talent from Taiwan, South Africa, Thailand, Australia, Brazil, Korea, the United States, Poland, and Hungary, stacking the stage with boundary-pushers and crowd-pleasers alike. Expect the shimmering harmonies of One Voice for Taiwan, a fiery Organ Station set supercharged by Titi Luzipó and Darren English, and the restless, shape-shifting Bujdosó 8TET and Pang SaxPackGirl Quintet. Rogue Jazz (Zsiványjazz) swagger arrives for late-night mischief, the Georgie Aué Quintet brings sunlit swing, and the Sol Jang Trio anchors it all with sleek, modern poise.
Five Nights, One Beat
This is a city-synced celebration designed for crate-diggers and festivalgoers alike: a compact world tour without leaving Babel Garden (Babel Kert). From deep-pocket grooves to bossa breezes and razor-edged improvisations, each set is a postcard from another scene, another story, another pulse. Bring open ears, loose shoulders, and a friend who swears they’re “not into jazz”—then watch them dance.
