Budapest’s Édes Mackó kürtőskalács pastry shop is serving gluten- and dairy-free kürtőskalács every Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m., no pre-order needed. Find them at 1146 Budapest, Állatkerti Blvd. (Állatkerti körút) 14–16. It’s a sweet win for anyone craving a classic chimney cake without gluten or milk—and without the hassle of ordering ahead on those two days.
How to Order on Other Days
On days other than Wednesday and Friday, they’ll bake gluten- and dairy-free versions on weekdays only, with a minimum order of 4 pieces. You’ll need to place your order at least 1 day in advance to secure a slot. That way, the team can prep the dedicated ingredients and keep everything on track.
Custom Requests Welcome
Have special preferences or dietary needs beyond gluten- and dairy-free? Just ask. The bakery says it does its best to accommodate additional custom requests, so if you’re after a particular coating or tweak, reach out and they’ll try to make it happen.
