Gödöllő gears up for another stellar year in 2026 with a packed, diverse lineup of events all year long. The city’s top cultural spots—the Gödöllő Royal Castle (Gödöllői Királyi Kastély) and House of Arts Gödöllő (Művészetek Háza Gödöllő)—deliver festivals, concerts, theater productions, summer concerts, and exhibitions galore. Families flock to the Royal Castle for kid-friendly programs, interactive educational sessions, and summer children’s camps. These happenings offer plenty of fun for every age group, from tots to grandparents.
April 2026 Theater Fever
Kick off April 7 with István Örkény’s Tóték (The Tót Family) at the “Gödöllő 60” Theater Festival in the House of Arts, tickets $14–$16. April 8 brings Vajk Szente’s Aranylakodalom – Megint egy legénybúcsú (Golden Wedding – Another Bachelor Party) there too, same prices. On the 9th, Pécs Ballet performs Carmen, part of the festival, $14. April 10 and 11 feature Storytelling Suites, an interactive family museum session at the Royal Castle, no ticket price listed. April 11 also has Club Theater’s A hullám (The Wave) at House of Arts, $6. April 12: Klára Csordás and Budapest Saxophone Quartet in concert at the Royal Castle. April 13 features Mama, Look! baby-friendly tours at the Castle and Te rongyos élet (That Ragged Life) Operetta Gala with Budapest Operetta Theater at House of Arts, $8.
