Screening: Witness Again (Megint tanú)
November 27: Kállai 100 Memorial Year film screening of Witness Again at the Kállai Ferenc Integrated Cultural Institution and Community Center. Location: Gyomaendrőd.
Advent Sundays: Words, Music, Warmth
November 30: Advent in Gyomaendrőd kicks off at 16:00 with greetings from Mayor Balázs Toldi, reflections by Lutheran pastor Glória Seben, and a program by the German Nationality Self-Government.
December 7: 12:00–13:00 Love Feast meal for those in need (one plate of goulash soup and bread). 14:00–16:00 Santa’s Tent with a visit from Santa. 14:00–16:00 Winter folk customs with the Körösmenti Folk Dance Ensemble. 16:00 Advent reflections by parish priest Gábor Czank.
December 14: 16:00 A musical devotion by Living Hope (Élő Remény), the Baptist Church of Gyomaendrőd.
December 21: 10:00–18:00 Advent Market of handmade goods, plus chimney cake (kürtőskalács) and “Laci Kitchen.” Advent Run. 10:00–14:00 Christmas playhouse (gingerbread making, pottery wheel, ornament crafting). 11:00 Frozen-themed interactive musical show for kids. 15:00 Christmas Angels – musical program by Adrienn Várnai and Adél Mészáros. 16:00 Advent reflections by Reformed pastor Tibor Papp.
Faith and Reflection
December 1–5: Happy Are Those Who Read! Advent evangelization week. A return to Scripture at the heart of Reformation heritage—no entertainment program, just listening to and reading God’s word to persevere through life’s struggles and beyond.
