Strolls, Castles, and Candlelight
City-center walking tours, Belvárosi barangoló, return on February 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, and 27. The iconic Gyula Castle (Gyulai Vár) rolls out Vívóudvar fencing courtyard sessions on February 10, 11, 12, 14, and ongoing across guaranteed weekend programs: February 13–15, 20–22, 27–March 1, and again March 6–8. Candlelit guided castle tours glow on February 14, 21, and 28, with dedicated Gyertyafényes vártúrák also on the 14th, 21st, and 28th. February 14 adds a special Gyula Castle: Gyertyafényes tárlatvezetés, while February 15 spotlights Gyula Castle: Arám, uram, ágyasom – Hogyan is volt?. February 28 goes historical with Gyula Castle: A végzet mezeje – Mohács (The Field of Doom – Mohács).
Almásy Castle: Fashion, Intimacy, and Valentine’s
Almásy Castle (Almásy-kastély) is a February anchor. Fűző és forradalom (Corset and Revolution) runs almost daily: February 10–14, 17–22, 24–26, 27–28. Valentine’s mood peaks February 14 with Pirulni szabad! – intimacy in the aristocratic world (intimitás a főúri világban), the Women’s Salon – Női szalon – The Treasures of Almásy Castle (Az Almásy-kastély kincsei), and The Castle by Candlelight (A kastély gyertyafényben), plus a dedicated Valentine’s Day program. On February 13, Eternal Love – Love in Hungarian History (Örök szerelem – Szerelem a magyar történelemben) brings great love stories from Hungarian history. More candlelit castle evenings follow February 21 and 28. Thematic treasure tours continue: Speaking Flowers – The Treasures of Almásy Castle (Beszédes virágok – Az Almásy-kastély kincsei) on February 21 and Aristocratic Passions – The Treasures of Almásy Castle (Grófi passziók – Az Almásy-kastély kincsei) on February 28. The family-friendly Castle Tour with Dönci the Dachshund (Kastélytúra Tacskó Döncivel) pops up February 15, 22, and March 1.
Ladics House: Tea, Empress, and Lovers’ Week
Ladics House (Ladics-ház) pours The Empress’s Cup (Császárné csészéje) throughout the month: February 10–12, 13–15, 17–22, 24–28. Lovers’ Week (Szerelmesek hete) spans February 10–15, while Loves at the Ladics House – a special guided tour (Szerelmek a Ladics-házban) lands on February 14, spotlighting intimate stories in period rooms.

At Mogyoróssy János Municipal Library (Mogyoróssy János Városi Könyvtár) on February 10, Let’s Learn for Life (Tanuljunk életül) introduces a new volume. Almásy Castle hosts the Gyula Catalogues 17 book launch (Gyulai Katalógusok 17.) on February 11. The Museum Free University, Museum Open University: Herod, Jesus and the Holy City (Múzeumi Szabadegyetem: Heródes, Jézus és a Szent Város), arrives February 25.
