Gyula rolls out a packed year-round lineup in its castle-town setting: exhibitions, concerts, theater, foodie fêtes, museum workshops, sports, and guaranteed and optional leisure programs. The Gyula Castle, Castle Theatre, famed thermal baths, and the homeland of pálinka and kolbász anchor the calendar, with standout events almost every month. From spring to autumn the Castle Theatre (Várszínház) hosts festivals, while the fortress offers quality programs nearly all year. The Gyula Castle Spa (Gyulai Várfürdő) ranks among Hungary’s favorite medicinal spas.
