Hajdúszoboszló, the most famous spa town on the Great Plain, is bursting with a festival vibe all year round, not just in summer. Beyond the healing waters, wellness centers, and amazing food scene, the city offers a whirlwind of cultural events, exhibitions, concerts, theater performances, open-air happenings, film screenings, festivals, sports, and countless ways to have fun.
Autumn Party Lineup
October kicks off with Ganxsta Zolee and Vilkó (Don Diavolos) and the “Paint with Us!” experience. There’s a national day commemoration, a Queen tribute concert, a farmers’ market, and the Pávai Festival. The TÖKölős Days add even more excitement, joined by the Szoboszló Art Workshop’s autumn exhibition, a big bash at Fanni Kertje, the Centenary Memorial Session, and an operetta gala.
More than Just Thermal Baths
Halloween features musical bath nights, fun parties, a blood drive, and a concert by guest Pataky Attila. November brings a lecture on Hungarian folk diseases from the perspective of Chinese medicine, Kovács Máté’s birthday celebration, the globe-trotting TVRTKO show (tickets from $19), a Guns N’ Roses tribute, and Advent night bathing.
Winter Festivities
December arrives with Santa visiting town, a Christmas party in Aqua Palace, and New Year’s Eve festivities. Next September promises a Wine and Gastro Festival. Organizers reserve the right to change dates or programs.
