On October 4-5, 2025, Nőtincs (Nőtincs) transforms into a whirlwind of tradition, fun, and delicious flavors during the annual Harvest Festival and Tradition Keepers’ Parade. Festivities kick off on Saturday at the Village Museum, with the opening of a doll exhibit at 10:00 AM. At 10:15 AM, brave souls compete for the quirky “Rain Girl” title. Noon brings lunch, along with awards for the straw doll-making and mustache beauty contests.
Costumes, Parades, and Dance
At 1:00 PM, the lively walking parade sets out from the Museum to the Church Square. Preschoolers from the Várlak of Nőtincs (Nőtinesi Várlak) and the local dance troupe perform at 1:20 PM, before a flamboyant horse and carriage parade cruises through the center from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
Old-School Skills and Food Galore
Sunday offers nonstop folk crafts, wagonloads of food in the gastro-court, and live demonstrations from beekeepers, blacksmiths, potters, and archers. Kids can make fall decorations and play games, and everyone lines up for hearty chicken broth and savory bread pizza—pay as you wish! The jam and pálinka (fruit brandy) contest crowns its winners at 1:00 PM.
