Tihany’s (Tihany) old-fashioned Harvest Days are back on September 20-21, 2025, lighting up Ferenc Mádl Square (Mádl Ferenc tér) with the peninsula’s liveliest autumn celebration. Locals and visitors can enjoy classic traditions, discover new surprises, and savor a huge variety of local wines poured by the region’s top winemakers. While live performances and family-friendly events take over the main stage, everyone is waiting for the colorful harvest parade—a yearly highlight winding its way through the streets of Tihany (Tihany). When the parade reaches Echo Hill (Visszhang-domb), grapes and bread are blessed in a unique ritual.
Jam-Packed Lineup
Saturday kicks off at the Tihany Folk Houses (Tihanyi Tájházak) with a playful adventure park, then Veronika Baricza (Baricza Veronika) brings music to Whitsun Grove (Pünkösdi liget). The fun continues at Ferenc Mádl Square (Mádl Ferenc tér): Tóni Barta’s (Barta Tóni) puppet show, Elemér Horváth’s (Horváth Elemér) band, the festival opening ceremony, wine tasting, plus awards for “Flowering Tihany” and “Neat Tihany Yards.” Kossuth Street (Kossuth utca) transforms into a retro disco with András Arató DJ-ing with music videos until 11pm.
Sunday: Parade and Party
Sunday is all about high energy: the band Iszkiri takes the stage, and the spectacular parade launches from Gallows Hill (Akasztó-domb), led by hussars, outlaws, riding clubs, musicians, and flag bearers. At Pisky Promenade (Pisky sétány), grapes and bread are blessed before the Polyák Rita Band (Polyák Rita Band) wraps up the festivities with classic Neoton and LGT hits.
