Saint Wenceslas Harvest Day (Szent Vencel Szüreti Nap) comes to Tállya-Buzita on September 27-28, 2025, serving up two jam-packed days for all ages. Expect lively cultural exchanges, tradition-keeping, and a chance to meet your neighbors—plus tons of fun.
Saturday Highlights
Things kick off at 8:00 with a cooking contest and a youth soccer cup. By 9:00, a lively musical wake-up will have the town buzzing. At 10:00, families can dive into a folk playhouse and craft workshops, while outside, a walking wine tasting and open roundtable at Mailloth Castle (Mailloth Kastély) get started. Kids won’t be bored—there’s a bouncy castle, a chocolate cannon, face painting, and glitter tattoos.
The 11:30 harvest parade leads into a full afternoon: shows from local schools, folk dancing, zither players, “Peasant Olympics,” a historical village tour, a ping-pong demonstration, and concerts by Dynamite Dudes, Ciráda, CC116, and Zanzibár. Official ceremonies follow, with the night ending on a high note with DJ Melodisco.
Sunday Ceremony
Festivities wrap up Sunday at 11:00 with a festive Saint Wenceslas (Szent Vencel) mass and wine blessing.
