Every autumn, Budakalász (Budakalász) bursts with life as locals and visitors celebrate the harvest in the town’s center. This year, on October 18, you’re invited to join the fun at 9 Szentendre Street (Szentendrei út 9): come with family, friends, or just your sense of adventure, because no one stays alone for long when the music and laughter begin!
Unforgettable Harvest Night
Starting at 6 PM, the Károly Kós Cultural Center and Library (Kós Károly Cultural Center and Library) will be filled with vibrant folk tunes, the aroma of fresh bread, and pure good cheer. What’s a harvest party without thick slices of greasy bread, crunchy onions, good wine, and even better music? The evening begins with a youth dance house, which is perfect for anyone ready to try folk dancing or just wants to move to lively rhythms.
Live Music and Dance Lessons
Later, the floor opens for adults—cue the guaranteed hilarity and celebration straight through to midnight! Dénes Juhász (Juhász Dénes) and friends will set the mood with irresistible music, while Bence Fülöp (Fülöp Bence) and Zsuzsanna Bernadett Petrik (Bernadett Zsuzsanna Petrik) teach folk dance steps to both beginners and regulars. Entry is free, so just bring your smile and passion for tradition. Let’s party together just like our grandparents did: wholeheartedly and with a grin!
