William Blake, the ultimate lonely genius of Romanticism, lived and worked in London as a master engraver, often experimenting late into the night with new printing and painting techniques. He saw himself as a prophet, building a bridge between the spiritual and the tangible through art and poetry. His work drew on radical politics, fierce religious faith, and intensely personal struggles—visions, myths, and rebellion etched into copper and imagination alike.
