William Blake, the quintessential Romantic outlier, looms large over a new Budapest exhibition that explores his visions, politics, and raw spirituality. The London-based engraver and poet developed new printing and painting techniques late into the night, cast himself as a prophet, and built bridges between the seen and the unseen. His works channel radical politics, fierce faith, and deeply personal struggle—then turn them into images of angels, demons, and myth that still unsettle and seduce.
