Hegymagas hosts a lively producers’ market all year in 2026, every Saturday from 7:30 AM on the edge of the village along the road toward Szigliget (8265 Hegymagas, Szigligeti Road [Szigligeti út]). Expect the beloved regulars plus fresh faces, a warm welcome to curious visitors and loyal shoppers alike—and a surprise breakfast for anyone who arrives hungry.
What’s at the stalls
Local producers bring chemical-free seasonal vegetables and fruit; artisan cheeses; smoked meats; homemade syrups and jams; breads and cakes; gluten-free, diabetic, and vegan baked goods; honey and gingerbread; and additive-free cosmetics. New to the community: Hegymagas “Marhaságok” with fine smoked meats, and Lavender Farm (Levendula Porta) with gorgeous cheeses. It’s the classic old-school market vibe—good cheer, chats, and the joy of discovery.
Community and access
Set up and run by locally rooted private citizens, the eco and organic producers’ market doubles as a community hub. Beyond shopping, there’s always time to mingle, swap tips and recipes, or simply kick back. Easy to reach by car, bike, or bus. Kids’ corner, breakfast options, bank card payments, and dogs welcome.
