A sparkling new exhibition, Bicentenary – Herend, has opened at the Herend Museum of Porcelain Art, celebrating 200 years of the legendary manufactory. From May 29, 2026, through October 31, 2026, visitors can explore the craft, style, and heritage that made Herend a global name in fine porcelain. The venue is at 140 Kossuth Lajos Street, 8440 Herend, welcoming design lovers, collectors, and the porcelain-curious throughout the season.
Two Centuries of Craft and Style
The show traces Herend’s evolution from imperial-era commissions to contemporary studio pieces, highlighting hand-painted motifs, gilded finishes, and the meticulous techniques that define the brand. Expect a mix of classic table services and sculptural works—the kind that made Herend a fixture on royal tables and in modern interiors alike. Curated sequences reveal how patterns traveled, how forms shifted with taste, and how artisans kept detail at the heart of production.
Plan Your Visit
Open through the end of October, the exhibition offers a rare chance to see signature designs up close in Herend itself—where the story began and where it still thrives.
