This August, the Hungarian Bath Association (Magyar Fürdőszövetség) is set to pull it off again, promising a high-tech, synchronized splashfest in dozens of iconic Hungarian pools and spas—all connected online. Mark your calendar for August 23, 2025, because this is not your average pool party.
When and Where the Madness Erupts
The mega water gun battle kicks off simultaneously in cities and towns across the nation. You can join the splash wars at places like Mezőtúr Municipal Bath (Mezőtúri Városi Strandfürdő), Dráva Hotel Thermal Resort in Harkány, Sárvár Spa and Wellness Bath (Sárvári Gyógy- és Wellnessfürdő), Zalakaros Bath (Zalakarosi Fürdő), and many more. Budapest’s Palatinus Beach (Palatinus Strand) awaits eager battlers, while smaller towns like Martfű, Leányfalu, and Jászárokszállás won’t be left out either. Altogether, more than two dozen pools and spa resorts across the country will be ground zero for the wettest event of the summer.
Breaking Records, Breaking Waves
This third annual National Water Gun Battle aims to break the Hungarian record for simultaneous water gun fights. All participating bathers will launch their watery assault at exactly 2:00 p.m., battling nonstop for 15 minutes in true nationwide harmony. The main mission: get as many people as possible playing at as many venues as possible, all at the same time.
Family Fun, Laughter, and Official Glory
This event is for everyone: families, kids, teens, and fun-loving adults. Grab your water blaster, round up your friends and relatives, and dive into the ultimate summer cooldown. The laughter, splashes, and shared excitement will make it a day to remember—and may even immortalize the participants in the national record books. The Hungarian Record Association (Magyar Rekord Egyesület) will check and verify results from each location, tallying up the largest number of water gun warriors ever seen.
