Ismerős Arcok roll into 2026 with a full calendar of concerts and a moving dance-theater collaboration marking the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. It all starts in Budapest, then stretches from village fêtes and lakeside promenades to major festivals, and closes the year with a powerful stage work performed across Hungary and beyond.
Budapest benefit: Fegyverek tüzében
On June 14, 2026, the band hosts a charity night at BARBA NEGRA under the banner Fegyverek tüzében (In the Fire of Weapons). Proceeds support the Transcarpathian Hungarian Cultural Association’s Verecke Foundation, aiding residents in Transcarpathia living with serious illnesses or disabilities—people whose already tough situations have worsened under wartime conditions. The focus is on those awaiting major surgeries, in need of post-op or continuous care, and people with disabilities. Venue: 1211 Budapest, District 21 – Csepel, Szállító u. 3.

Dance-theater: Otthont! Házat! Hazát!
From autumn, the band anchors a touring dance-theater production, Otthont! Házat! Hazát! (A Home! A House! A Homeland!), honoring the 70th anniversary of the 1956 revolution. The narrative follows Nyerges Attila’s memories: as a young boy, he fought on the front line with the pesti srácok (the “Boys of Pest”) during the uprising. Amid the storm, he falls for a revolutionary girl, but his actions put him in danger. Forced to flee, he leaves love behind and starts over abroad. Carrying the weight of that choice, he risks his freedom to return to Hungary, searching for old friends and his beloved—only to find they have fallen victim to the revolution. Did he choose life over death wisely? Can he ever find happiness or forgive himself?
The story unfolds through five dancers, with spoken-word passages and Ismerős Arcok performing live. It’s intimate, physical storytelling powered by the band’s music, bringing private memory into the public square.
