MittelCinemaFest returns for its 23rd edition from November 7–15, 2025, serving up 11 new Italian films in the original language with Hungarian subtitles. The curtain-raiser is Mario Martone’s Outside (Odakint), fresh from its debut in the 2025 Cannes Competition, setting a sharp tone for a week of standout cinema.
Prizewinners Front and Center
On the lineup is Vermiglio – The Bride of the Mountain (A hegy menyasszonya), Golden Globe–nominated and double-awarded in Venice with the Silver Lion and the Grand Jury Prize. The festival also screens a clutch of decorated titles: A School Year (Egy iskolaév), Under the Clouds (A felhők alatt), My Sweet Treasure (Édes kincsem), and Iddu – Sicilian Letters (Iddu – Szicíliai levelek).
