Now in its fifth year, the Józsefváros Jazz Festival (Józsefvárosi Jazzfesztivál) will once again fill the heart of the district with music, excitement, and a vibrant community atmosphere from September 12 to 14, 2025. True to the spirit of the venue, this year’s festival brings a diverse program—across two stages, audiences can enjoy a mix of classic jazz favorites and bold, experimental sounds.
Two Stages, Endless Jazz
The festival is free to attend and welcomes leading figures from the Hungarian jazz scene, as well as fresh young talent. If you stroll through the neighborhood that weekend, you can expect to hear the József Balázs Quartet (Balázs József Quartet), the experimental Gábor “Egg” Horváth Trio (Horváth “Tojás” Gábor Trio), the funk-inspired Subtones, the elegant Elemér Balázs Quintet (Balázs Elemér Quintet), the energetic Pankastic!, the international Roberto Magris Quartet, and the creative Borbély Workshop (Borbély Műhely).
