Heaven Cultural Pub (Menny Kultúrkocsma), the cozy new neighborhood spot at 1067 Budapest, Szobi St. (Szobi u.) 4, kicks off the year with a week of live jazz. From Monday, January 5, to Monday, January 12, the venue is hosting a Jazz Fest packed with nightly concerts and open jam sessions, turning the bar into a magnet for improvisers and late-night listeners alike.
The Core Band
Guitarist Botond Horváth anchors the festival with rotating trios, building a flexible, hard-swinging backbone for the week. He’s joined by a sharp rhythm section featuring Tamás Papp, Lőrinc Mohácsy, and Gábor Bedő on double bass and drums, swapping in and out to keep the sound fresh and the groove restless.
Guests Join the Fire
Each night, invited players drop in, expanding the lineup and pushing the sessions into new corners—straight-ahead, modal detours, groove-heavy late sets. The jam sessions are open, so expect spontaneous pairings, long solos, and that sweet spot where the room leans in and the band locks in tight. Live, loud, unfiltered jazz, every night.
