Kecskemét’s House of Nature, the visitor center of Kiskunság National Park, will host the next Five O’Clock Green Tea talk on March 4, 2026. The venue at 6000 Kecskemét, 19 Liszt Ferenc Street (Liszt Ferenc utca 19), features permanent exhibitions on Hungary’s conservation history, national parks, the habitats of the Danube–Tisza Interfluve, and traditional crafts, plus regular clubs, group sessions, talks, and temporary shows.
Biologist Dr. Edvárd Mizsei, a research fellow at the University of Debrecen, will share a gripping field report: a six-month camper van journey from Portugal to Kazakhstan, tracking Eurasian vipers and documenting more than 120 reptile and amphibian species. Setting off in April 2025 with his partner in a self-converted RV, Mizsei traveled through about 25 countries, following varied landscapes and elusive herpetofauna while gathering observations along a sweeping Eurasian transect.
Expect close-up insights, curiosities, and adventures from a research route stitched together by border crossings, back roads, and field nights. Five O’Clock Green Tea promises fresh science served with travel grit. Date: March 4, 2026. City: Kecskemét. Organizers reserve the right to change the time and program.
