Kecskemét’s Nature House, the visitor center of the Kiskunság National Park Directorate at 6000 Kecskemét, Liszt Ferenc Street (Liszt Ferenc utca) 19, has packed the year with talks, workshops, and field trips rooted in Hungary’s conservation story. Inside, permanent exhibits chart the evolution of national parks, the habitats of the Danube–Tisza Interfluve, and crafts from the past, while rotating showcases, lectures, and hands-on sessions keep the program fresh for all ages.
The Ötórai Zöldtea talk series features a standout on March 4, 2026: biologist Dr. Edvárd Mizsei recounts his and his partner’s six-month camper-van trek from Portugal to Kazakhstan, a 25-country expedition launched in April 2025 in a self-converted motorhome. A research associate at the University of Debrecen, Mizsei reports observing more than 120 reptile and amphibian species along the way, and will unpack the encounters, twists, and roadside discoveries that powered the journey. Venue: Nature House, Kecskemét (6000, Liszt Ferenc Street [Liszt Ferenc utca] 19).
