On May 9 at 19:00, Balaton Theater (Balaton Színház) hosts Gyöngyhajú lány – OMEGA musical, led by ExperiDance and fronted by Kóbor Léna in the role of Kriszta. Throughout May and into June, Keszthely sightseeing cruises on Lake Balaton (Keszthelyi sétahajózás) run in weekly blocks, and Keszthely boat excursions (Keszthelyi hajókirándulás) pop up on June weekends. Kids’ theater that cooks up wonder
May 13 brings Witch’s Kitchen (Boszorkánykonyha), Batyu Theater’s (Batyu Színház) object-puppet show at 10:00 in the Simándy Room. Tickets are 3,000 HUF (about 8.3 USD). A salt shaker wanders off, pots tell stories, spoons begin to chatter, and familiar tales bubble up with humor. At 18:00 in the Simándy Room, Lajos Gál speaks on the roving past and historic pathways of Hévíz’s thermal springs for the With Open Eyes on the World series (Nyitott szemmel a nagyvilágban).
Danny Blue unlocks The Secret
On May 14 at 19:00, mentalist Danny Blue takes over the main stage at Balaton Theater (Balaton Színház) with The Secret (A Titok). Tickets are 8,990–14,990 HUF (about 25–42 USD). Lilla Orbay, singer-composer-bandleader-pianist, leads a groove that mines 1970s melodic atmospheres with modern arrangements and bold improvisation, fresh off stages like EuroJazz Mexico City and Amersfoort World Jazz. Keszthely City Day 2026 (Keszthely Város Napja 2026) lights up Main Square (Fő tér) June 5–7 with protocol events, outdoor entertainment, crafts, concerts, and a late-night dance house. From June 22–26, GKMK’s main hall hosts SUMMER BREAK – DANCE CAMP (NYÁRI SZÜNET – TÁNCTÁBOR), a summer dance camp for ages 5–10, led by Zsuzsanna Dézsenyi, 9:00–12:00 daily.
