Every Wednesday from 4:30–6:00 p.m., the Óbuda Synagogue becomes a lively hub for 3–10-year-olds and their parents. KiddieTime blends music, learning, drama, and movement to bring Jewish traditions to life through shared, hands-on fun. Entry is free but requires registration, and organizers reserve the right to change dates and programs.
Music That Moves
The afternoon kicks off with a parent-child music session filled with Hebrew songs, prayers, and holiday melodies. It’s a warm, sing-along gateway into community, language, and rhythm.
Stories You Can Play
Next up, the weekly Torah portion is explored through drama pedagogy. Kids dive into the stories with games, role-play, and creative activities, guided by a trained drama educator. It’s experiential learning designed to stick.
Confidence in Motion
The finale is movement: a Krav Maga session led by a coach with Israeli training. Beyond fitness, it builds confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of community to round off the day.
Who’s Behind It
KiddieTime is led by Zsuzsa Szilánk, EMIH’s head of education. Programs are coordinated by Miri Radó, with Jewish content curated by Petra Nagy.
