Budapest’s Óbuda Synagogue turns Wednesday afternoons into a lively playground for culture, music, and movement with KiddieTime, a weekly series for families with kids ages 3–10. Running 4:30–6:00 p.m., it blends Hebrew songs, hands-on storytelling, and a confidence-boosting Krav Maga session—designed to make Jewish traditions feel fun, active, and shared.
Sing, Learn, Play—Together
Each session opens with a parent-and-child music circle, exploring Hebrew prayers, festive melodies, and holiday tunes. Then comes the weekly Torah portion through drama: guided by a drama educator, kids dive into stories using role-play, games, and creative making that turn ancient narratives into something they can touch and feel.
Move With Purpose
The finale is movement: Krav Maga led by a coach with experience from Israel. Beyond exercise, the class builds discipline, self-belief, and a strong sense of community—no prior skills needed, just curiosity and energy.
Who’s Behind It
KiddieTime is led by Zsuzsa Szilánk, EMIH’s head of education; programs are coordinated by Miri Radó, with Jewish content curated by Petra Nagy. Sessions are free but require registration.
