Budapest’s Óbuda Synagogue is launching KiddieTime, a weekly Wednesday series blending music, learning, drama, and movement to help children dive into Jewish traditions. Aimed at ages 3–10 and their parents, the program runs 4:30–6:00 p.m. at 1036 Budapest, District 3 – Óbuda, Lajos Street (Lajos utca) 163. Admission is free with registration.

Music, Stories, Action

Each afternoon unfolds in three parts. First up: a parent–child music session introducing Hebrew songs, prayers, and holiday melodies. Then comes the weekly Torah portion through drama pedagogy—guided by a drama educator, kids explore stories with games, role-play, and creative projects. The finale is all movement: a Krav Maga session led by a coach with experience from Israel, building not just fitness but confidence, discipline, and a strong community vibe.

Who’s Behind It

KiddieTime is led by Zsuzsa Szilánk, educational director at EMIH. Program coordination is by Miri Radó, with Jewish content curated by Petra Nagy. It’s a shared parent–child break that turns midweek afternoons into hands-on discovery and fun.
