Visegrád’s Knights’ Games and Feast is back every Saturday this fall, and it’s one of the Danube Bend’s most riotously fun family outings—if you book in time. Hosted by the Renaissance Restaurant, the afternoon catapults you straight into the 14th century. Up for it? Sign up and watch the Visegrád Knights’ Games come alive in full armor and swagger.
Be Crowned, Cheer, Then Duel (Sort Of)
Members of the Order of Saint George stage a dazzling tournament, showing how warriors once battled for the favor of a king and queen in medieval Visegrád. At the start, the knights pick a king and queen from the crowd, robe and crown them, then march in on royal command to prove their aim and dueling skills with period weapons before the court and guests. The bouts are realistic, thrilling, and cheekily funny, with a royal hunting hawk taking to the sky for good measure. After the show, guests can try the medieval weapons with the knights’ help.
