Lajosmizse lines up a full year of culture in 2026 with concerts, open-air cinema, theater, exhibitions, workshops, fairs, and foodie pop-ups, all hosted by the City Cultural Center and Library. Locals and visitors can enjoy a steady rhythm of crafts, talks, comedy, and national markets from March to December.
March opens with Sándor Gyöngyösi’s Oh, Those Wonderful Medicinal Mushrooms on March 10, then a stand-up comedy show with Gyuri Orosz, Dávid Záhonyi-Ábel, and Mályki Valtner on March 12. That same day brings a Group Sound Bath for a quiet inner journey. Creative hands meet at Enamel Art workshops on March 14 and 28, and a Ceramics Club on March 21. The town commemorates the 1848–49 Revolution and War of Independence on March 15. On March 16 at the City Cultural Center, psychologist Noémi Orvos-Tóth explores How Do We Break Inherited Family Patterns? Tickets: about $24.40. A baby-and-movement morning with Klári Rimóczi is on March 19.
April features the National Animal and Flea Market (April 5), Ceramics (April 11), Enamel (April 18), and Dr. Imre Csernus: New Challenges Instead of Burnout on April 23, tickets about $16.20. Organ star Gergely Rákász plays Lords of the Organ on April 25, free entry, with Ceramics that day too, and a Zorán concert on April 30.
