László Lakatos, a mainstay of the Duma Theater (Dumaszínház), is taking his stand-up across Hungary in 2026 with online ticketing and a fresh solo show. He burst into the troupe via a talent search and was immediately signed by the Hadházi Stable, touring for years with its headliner, then later with Mr. Musimbe (Musimbe úr). After eight years of frayed nerves with Dennis, he’ll be performing only his own evening from March 2025. Their split, he notes, has absolutely nothing to do with Dennis being a lackey.
From Práter Street to Csepel
He left Práter Street for a while and dropped anchor in Csepel, living with Csilla, Ákos, and their two dogs in a fourth-floor panel flat without an elevator. He jokes he should probably move back to Práter. His material mines his family life, because he doesn’t really have many friends or lovers—the latter fact delights his wife. With a family this abnormal, he says, all he has to do is report what they do every day.
The Family Cast
Expect stories about his father, also named László; his little boy László, the fruit of his loins and the person he loves most in the world; Andi, his mother, whose cooking he loves even more than her, which is how he hit 287 pounds; Csilla, the reason he climbs to that cursed fourth floor daily; Ákos, his stepson, who looks nothing like him on the outside but a lot like him on the inside—an advantage-free combo he calls Ákos’s problem; and Dean and Iván, the dogs.
