– March 4, 2026 (Wednesday), 6:00 PM — Kutyák (Dogs), encore performance

Hadházi László lets the dogs out

Kutyák (Dogs) is Hadházi László’s latest one-man show, with TV and radio favorite Lovász László as MC. Expect a rapid-fire romp through canine curiosities and human absurdities. Hadházi tees up questions that are gloriously unserious and knowingly unanswerable: How many dogs does it take to screw in a light bulb? Why do dogs carry their tails behind them, and who’s wagging whom? Can they really hear grass grow? Does even the mailman’s own dog bark at him? What exactly counts as dog-cold in Celsius? And who owns whom — does the dog have a human, or the human have a dog?
He’s not pretending to settle any of it — “I hope you don’t think you’ll get answers to these questions, because you won’t.” What he does promise: “You won’t feel dog-tired.” It’s the kind of playful misdirection his fans live for, with observational comedy that slips from the backyard to the big existential stuff without ever losing the laugh line. The show runs on March 3 and 4 at 6:00 PM, giving you two shots at seats.

Kovács András Péter wrestles with time

Idővel (In Time) is a more reflective but just as punchy evening from Kovács András Péter, opened by writer-comic Fehér Boldizsár. KAP riffs on the everyday paradox of a one-shot life that many barely live. “You only live once. In fact, some haven’t even managed that yet. They’ve got a free ticket to 80 years of rollercoaster, and they’re watching from the sidelines.”
He wonders how many different “lives” we actually live inside one lifespan, how many times we declutter our things, knowledge, friends, and loves. If a marriage lasts 40 years, how many marriages is that, really? If life’s so short, why are we afraid to truly enjoy it — and if we don’t enjoy it, why do we want it to last so long?
There’s a raw current of self-inquiry too: Do we matter? What remains of us? “Maybe just this evening,” he muses — and even that might slip away. So grab the moment while it’s here. Idővel hits the Sports Center on April 16 at 6:00 PM.

Tickets and pricing

Admission for both shows uses demand-based pricing, so seats may fluctuate in cost as interest rises. Online purchase is available, and with two dates for Kutyák and a single night for Idővel, early booking is smart. Organizers reserve the right to change the program or schedule.

Make a night of it

If you’re coming from out of town or just want to stretch the laughs into a mini-break, the area around the town’s Spa and Beach Bath (Gyógy- és Strandfürdő) has an array of stays and bites within easy reach of the Sports Center.
– Thermal Camping (Termál Kemping): Right next to the Spa and Beach Bath, this campsite accommodates up to 500 guests with brick-built apartment houses plus tent and caravan pitches. It’s a practical, budget-friendly base near the water and sports facilities.
– A boutique-style hotel near the Spa and Sports Park: Designed to offer a restful, recreational alternative to mass-tourism spots, it features five types of stylish, exclusive rooms that fit solo travelers as well as large families, for short or long stays. With services coordinated alongside the nearby Spa and the Sports Park, it’s a smooth choice for business and leisure travelers, plus roving international visitors who prefer quieter corners.
– Veronika Hotel: Set in a green, quiet part of Tiszaújváros and opened in 2011, Veronika brought a fresh standard of service to local stays. Its wellness wing offers a mirror-surface swimming pool, jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, relaxation room, and fitness room. Rooms meet modern expectations, and the hotel restaurant serves a mix of Hungarian and international dishes.

Eat and drink around town

In the city center, right by the ornamental lake and the Mayor’s Office, a family-run restaurant offers a separate private room and a summer terrace in season. The menu brings together Hungarian flavors and international staples, with a beverage list that checks all the expected local boxes and a quality wine selection prioritizing top Hungarian producers.
And when only pizza will do, locals point to the go-to pizzeria in Tiszaújváros — boasting the town’s best pies, and the kind of quick comfort that pairs perfectly with a post-show debrief.
